This was our Saturday evening meal with company.

This recipe can be done in two parts, first the meat is prepared and then the braised veggies are added at the end. The presentation is lovely (guest & family worthy).

it's definitely stew season up here! perfect weekend fare---and we harvested potatoes last Sat

one big bowl full! grew them on a whim in a whiskey barrel and DH thought we had nothing for our effort. He just pulled up the rotting dead greens and that was that. I got my gloves on and dug down to the bottom and voila! potatoes. lovely yukon gold-ish. so creamy and fun to cook. I portion them out carefully----guests must be deemed potato worthy.
