Our menu never changes, so I already know what I'm cooking.

I do vary the Christmas cookies a bit. Last year, I made a marvelous pecan pie cookie that Andy said his mom used to make when he was little. I've had the recipe for years, but never made them. They were a bit of work, but were marvelous.

I've already got some Christmas presents purchased--just trying to get ahead a little so I'm not in such a rush. I'd like to have all the shopping done by Thanksgiving so that I can take my time with decorating the house, which I really enjoy.

I made rumtopf one year. It was terrific! Never got around to it this year. Boo!
