Favorite less intense brownie than Outrageous? (For the older folks)

I love Outrageous Brownies, they are my go to ones, but they are pretty intense, which equals a huge caffeine high hit (even with decaf coffee).

So for shipping to mom's party with the older folks I'd like to make something equally good, but a bit less intense of a brownie. I've made Supernatural Brownies, and they are ok, but not fab.

Any brownie favorites that might make for a good fit? Prefer a moist/chewy style with no icing.

Thanks!

I still love Baker's one-bowl

1 pkg. (4 oz.) BAKER'S Unsweetened Chocolate
3/4 cup butter or margarine
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup flour
1 cup coarsely chopped PLANTERS Pecans
make it
HEAT oven to 350°F.

LINE 13x9-inch pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides. Spray foil with cooking spray.

MICROWAVE chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir in sugar. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add flour and nuts; mix well. Pour into prepared pan.

BAKE 30 to 35 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. (Do not overbake.) Cool completely. Use foil handles to remove brownies from pan before cutting to serve.

Katherine Hepburn's Brownies have a old-fashioned, familiar taste.

Ingredients
½ cup cocoa or 2 squares (2 oz.) unsweetened baker's chocolate
1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pinch of salt
1 cup roughly chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions
1.Melt butter with the cocoa or chocolate together in a heavy saucepan over medium low, whisking constantly till blended. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar. Whisk in the eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour, salt and walnuts. Mix well. Pour into a well buttered 8-inch square baking pan. Bake at 325 degrees for about 40 minutes till a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely and cut into squares. These brownies are very fudgy and may be somewhat difficult to slice cleanly; use a sharp knife and a spatula to help them loosen from the baking dish.

You will also need a 8x8 inch baking dish.

This is the basic recipe that I use, but my recipe calls for 1/2 cup flour. . . .

everything else is the same. Good basic brownie. Sometimes I add more cocoa or good bittersweet chocolate when melting the butter and they are always good.

One thing though: Do NOT over beat the batter when you add the eggs or you will get a tough, dry, mess. Mix the eggs in only until they are barely mixed in and you will be good to go with a great basic brownie.
