dis-organized re the meal....2 youngsters (who eat anything) 5 adults who are all foodies...

I have

plenty wine.....

and

plenty wine

and

some cheeses...camebert etc.

a packet of pre-made roasted mushroom ravioli

3 frozen chicken breasts

a side of salmon, frozen

5 pre-made stuffed broccoli chicken

Yummy Asian stir fry ground condiment (for the Cambodian curry)

an eggplant, 3 onions, a few little-finger cleaned carrots

a little cream

and

plenty wine

What can I make ...I'm working till 6 pm

I need a filling meal ...I think the ravioli will go with a sauce of white wine, cream and ??? chicken (don't want to cut up the salmon here)

The side of salmon with a sauce made with onion and the Asian stir-fry????? (OH, I have coconut cream)

Grilled eggplant and basmati (I have brown basmati)

Arrgh!!!!!

I'll bake the camembert as a starter I can buy a baugette on the way home.

Help!

you've been the busy hostess lately. for the ravioli, I always like a parmesan cream sauce or..

gorganzola cream sauce. have fun!

How long would it take you to bake the stuffed chicken? Serve with a good salad,

some French bread, the rice, or ravioli? Can I come if I help you fix dinner? ;o)

I'm getting there...but still help..I have loads of frozen granadilla pulp in the fridge and fresh

as well, how could I combine this into the meal....sometimes I just go a complete blank.....
So far,
I'm starting by a snack of fresh picked tempura fried okra
I have a wonderful Reblochon au cru which I'm going to bake (never tried this)...and have a fruity sort of topping...I have Asian pear and ???
(perhaps some peppadews, I have a jar of those)
I'll do the ravioli with a parmesan cream sauce and poach the wild sock-eye salmon in white wine and chicken stock.....same sauce, and have some portabello mushrooms and onions as a side.
annnnd
salad I guess...I have some lettuce and Oh, I have pine nuts....strange, I am thinking on the computor.....I usually so enjoy putting a menu together but this time I'm pushed/exhausted.
Tomorrow I will do the Asian curry/spice meal...

Dawn, do come...but

the problem is I don't have ingredients that gel. I'm not buying anything as there is no time and I must use up what I have.
I just had some of the okra...truly, freshly fried it is food of the gods...I didn't like okra before but fresh and fried makes a huge difference.

Mmm, thanks Randi, I also like...

that so I'm following that idea...Asian tomorrow night. I have no gorgonzola...of course that appeals more than the parmesan that I do have. I MUST be strict and use up what I have.

Gel, as in literally? If not, the just the chicken...

with broccoli and forget the salad. Serve the rice or the ravioli on the side, with some bread you bought, nothing else... some whale cake for dessert - lol, and drink plenty of the wine afterwards ;o)

Let us know how it goes. Are they staying another day too?

AHHHH! it was yummy.....and yes they are here till Sun. They are cooking tonight....

the reblochon baked in a HOT oven and then topped with Asian pear and peppadew and rosemary with fresh baugette was so yummy BUT the cheese did not stay soft, the last bite was quite set...not a good cheese to use if there are POLITE folk "nibbling" at the starter....
Okra went down fast I used a bought tempura batter with a beaten egg.
Poached salmon topped with portabello mushrooms and onions.
A green salad with pine nuts on the side
The pasta sauce was cream and parmesan....
I could have done with dessert but we scooped fresh granadillas instead...and of course wine.
