Fellow bean lovers - Heirloom Beans from Rancho Gordo are out of this world! They are

truly different. I have been trying lots of different varieties, mostly pressure cooking.

They give crockpot , pressure and traditional cooking methods.

They are fabulous. The company is terrific - shipping is $8/flat rate. Ships same day as ordered. Can't say enough good things.

Also, their new cookbook Heirloom Beans is crazy good. There isn't one recipe in the book I wouldn't make. Just made some fabulous pasta fazool soup - going to try some baked chile rellenos tomorrow. The salads and dips are really yummy looking.

Rancho Gordo is a good company, my orders have arrived prompty and the beans are fresh...

however they are out of many of the varieties right now. They are harvesting this season's crop but the beans still have to dry and be packaged. Until then, if you need a bean they don't have, check out this company.

I ordered from them yesterday, because Rancho Gordo was out of everything I wanted. They promised to mail out today.

Steve's runner cannelini beans are about the best I have ever cooked!

I have used seven different varieties, and the quality is far above the beans you will find in the grocery store. Worth every penny!

Thanks Karen - they were out of quite a few. Stocked up on the black - they are so small and great

for soups and mexican dishes. And, as Mark said, the cannelini are super. Which are your favorites?
If you do a search of Heirloom Beans on Amazon and want any of the recipes, I'd be happy to post.
