Finally got thru ALL my recipes (took 4 days and 7 trips to the recycle bin)

I've been meaning to do that FOREVER. I have 2 separate expanding files - one for my T&T and one for "gotta try". I couldn't lift the second one anymore - the clasps gave out long ago and was being held together with a bungee cord... barely. I got brave and just began throwing out anything I would never really try... mostly because my family wouldn't like it, or I'd have to have a very specialy, particular reason to use it. Once I started, it got easier and easier. DH kept taking the trash can out for me. After that (3 days), I spent a full day going thru my T&T and weeding it out of recipes I had really only made once and wrote "ok" on it, or ones we really had no more taste for. Now both files are light as a feather and I can grab any one and be assured it's a winner.

Of course.... I haven't printed off the MANY recipes from this board that are in my "to print" files... ahhh... I can see another couple of days work ahead of me.

Wow, bet it feels good. I took four huge stacks of travel magazines to recycle

about a month ago. They are so beautiful, but I can find all the information and pictures on line.

Took National Geographics and Smithsonian to a free book exchange. Went by to see if anyone was taking them and them were gone. made me happy someone will enjoy them.

Food magazines will not be that easy?

I am going through cookbooks. a dear friend in Galveston lost most of hers to Ike.

I just keep all my keepers in files on a 1G flash drive. Print them as I make them. Only have to take the flash drive to work and since the pages are usually pretty yucky after a few months, toss em.

But kudos to you. And you and your Valentines have a happy loving day!

I have most of my recipes on computer as I did cookbooks for my girls, but 2 years have passed....!!

Amazing how much more you can accumulate in 2 years. And there will NEVER **sigh** be enough time to try all the ones I'd like to.
