I've struggled to have nice nails all my adult life. Not long, just strong, not peeling, or tearing. Are there any foods, that those of you who have lovely, strong, nails contribute to your nails health or supplements?
When I first discovered chai 10 or so years ago, I drank it by the potful on a daily basis. In a couple of months, my nails were stronger than ever before, so that sudden increase in calcium made a huge difference.
I've just started taking vit D for thinning hair, but it's also for bone/nail growth & strength.
Have you had your thyroid levels checked lately? One of the manifestations of low thyroid is peeling, weak fingernails.
Other than that, just working some moisture into them regularly (I use Burts Bees lemon cuticle cream) helps a great deal. I am not kind to my hands. They are in clay a great deal and the cuticle cream is a nail-saver!
I have to say that Biosil did wonders for my hair and finger nails....
My hair tends to fall quite a bit, one day I was having a haircut, and the lady cutting my hair suggested Biosil - I was a bit skeptical, but decided to give it a try
It does take a few weeks, but I wish I had taken photos of my brush or the back side of my chair at the office "before Biosil" and "after Biosil"
