first holiday goodie disappointment: pretzel caramel marshmallow thingies. they would have been

good, but the square pretzel bottoms just taste chemically to me. ruined the whole batch. I took pretzels as bottoms, then placed 1/2 of a caramel on each and baked till melty, then stuck a 1/2 marshmallow on top, pressing so that it stuck to the caramel, then when cool, dipped in melted chocolate and sprinkles on top. they look so cute, but taste not so good. may have to trash them. so sad.

I made something creative for thanksgiving w/ preztzel sticks; marshmellows dipped in chocolate and rolled in crushed grahams. Kind of a smore on a pretzel stick. I too thought they tasted off / chemically. I asked my mom to taste and was given the thumbs up. I had butternut squash soup / cranberries, etc on my taste buds....
In other words, hold off trashing them, and get a second / third opinion. They may be just fine! (They do sound adorable)

next time I'll use plain small twists--the squares were the "butter" flavored and thus the problem
