First real complaint with the new Cooking Channel

They're obviously cutting the hour long episodes of Julia's late 70's series "Julia Child and Company" from an hour down to 1/2 hour. Why???

Anyone else noticed this?

The program I watched last night was Julia preparing foods for her cocktail party (I watch DVR delayed programming). She mentioned all the things she was making, and then they only showed her make two of them. At the end of the show, the camera went across the counter showing all the foods she said she was going to make and I wanted to see those too.

Another show it appeared they had left out some steps of the one recipe they were showing her make from the episode.

This is very frustrating.

I guess everything must fit into a half hour.

Richard, since the channel is new, perhaps they will actually read and respond to a viewer comment,

that we would much rather see the entire show, taking up a whole hour, than a cut-up show that is practically worthless to us and making them lose viewers because of the missing parts. Maybe we can have a write-in.

Yes, I was planning on contacting them. Hope others do likewise. . .

it's a shame to chop up those Julia Child 1 hour episodes into 30 minutes like that. It's not like they're showing the first part for 30 minutes, then showing the second part later. They're choping the hour show into a 30 minute show.
