Food Saver for $40. Can't beat this with a stick. Order quickly--they sell out

Be aware that these are reconditioned models. I had this unit a few years back and the upright

design was nice for saving space on my laundry room counter.

Yes, reconditioned. I have had "one of each" at various times and have always

preferred the "plain pipe rack" one finally. But at this price, it's worth a look. Their customer service is good about helping with problems (FS, that is) and sometimes it is a small adjustment for the vac seal to work, etc.
This one does have all the bells and whistles for sure. I have had one for over 20 years and save enough on cheese to pay for it in less than a year. Love, love love it.

Cost was 29.99 and by the time I got through filling out all the info they wanted plus creating

an account, it had gone up to 39.99! Still a good price and my daughter will love this.

Interesting. It was $39.99 on mine (I rounded for posting). I think this is probably

the $120 variety at Costco, for example. Certainly over $100. Glad you got it. She WILL love it.
Don't forget you can marinate things quickly using it, even without the special attachments or utensils.

Can they accept returns if there is a problem?

I have a refurbished VItamix and could not be happier with it.... Foodsaver I got one that was a lemon (and was a brand new one), but returned it without problems, although I had bought it through amazon.com

I think the price is so good, worth getting it - I love mine

Re: Reconditioned

When given a choice, I always select the reconditioned model.

Why?

Because instead of going own an assembly line and having the parts slapped on, boxed, and not tested, a trained technician actually repairs any defect and tests it to make sure it is working correctly.

Most of these reconditioned models are not returned because they aren't working, but for other reasons. The ones that are defective usually have a wire not connected properly, etc. Very minor issues.

The result is you get a properly working appliance, tested by a trained expert on the product, at a fraction of the new price.

Total win.
