FoodSaver for $35. This is the plain pipe rack one I have and this is a deal

I agree. I could not save as much money as I do without my Food Saver. I have been reusing

my bags for years and and now the company is admitting that the bags can be washed, dried and reused. Reusing them saves a ton of money.

The company has always said they could. I have done it for 25 years. I do sometimes

put a skinny plastic bag inside the FS bag if it is meat with juices, etc.

I wrap my meats tightly in plastic wrap first, then put into the FS bags. I take the meat

out of the bag before thawing. That way the meat juices do not get on the FS bag.. I did not know the company always said they could be reused. I got a lot of flack from someone on another site when I gave out that tip. Was really put down for reusing the bags. Sigh...

Oh, that is too bad. I have turned them inside out and then run throught the dishwasher

if they had meat in them.

I have not used a dishwasher on them, yet. My hubby turns them inside out

puts them in a hot water, and Dawn mix, and scrubs with a clean sponge. Then runs hot water over them again. I have a little, plastic clothes line, which is round, has a hanger hook for hanging. I place it over my laundry room tub and hang all my plastic bags, even Zip Lock type. When they are completely dry, we put them into a drawer where we keep all the washed bags.

The little clothes line hangers are great, we used it in our RV, Mine is similar to the one in the link, but is white, and we found it at Camping World. I love these things.
