Has anyone figured out a good use for the plastic containers that the rotisserie chickens come in? I hardly buy them anymore because I feel so guilty about the packaging. Between water bottles and clamshell packaging, there is so much plastic going into our landfills. I am using the salad clamshells for little greenhouses to start my seeds and also to send leftovers home with people. You never lose any tupperware that way.

Anyway, I thought this was a useful article.

This is the link for Earthbound Farms, growning lettuce in plastic clamshells.

Our Commissary sells them in ziploc

hot bags.

Their low sodium version is pretty good. The local supermarket, however, has two kinds. The "regular" is so salty that I can't eat it and the other is an orange chipotle which tastes like soap.

Somehow I had a technical glitch and the title posted before I finished the message.
