For everyone who is watching their fat intake and loves peanut butter.

I was browsing the WW forums and found that several people were raving about a new item called PB2. It is a powdered PB made from slow roasted peanuts(USA) and pressed with a method to remove fat. It is all natural, no presevatives and when mixed with water it is the same consistency as full fat PB. It has 75% less fat than regular PB. I sent for the minimum order as I love PB but shy away from it because of the fat content. The web site is:

www.bellplantation.com They even have peanut flour.

If ya'll can hold on for a few day, I placed an order last week. Hasn't arrived

yet.

I ordered both the Peanut butter and the peanut flour...working on a peanut butter cookie and thought this might ramp up the flavor.

There is a minimum order of 4 per product. So I can report back what I think.

Once we know, I'll be happy to share with others...since I can't imagine going through 4 packages of peanut flour.

I'd be insterested in seeing how much sugar it has - frequently reduced fat p-nut butter

has more sugar added to help the taste and mouth feel.

That theory works with most "low-fat" products. Add more carbs and the fat ratio goes down.

Add enough carbs and when the magic fat number reaches 25%, the product is suddenly proclaimed "LOW FAT!"

Even if it now has TWICE the calories.

My favorite "skew the logic" is the licorice label in large bold font: 100% FAT FREE!!!=24>

(ummm, wouldn't that be because they never had any fat to begin with?)
