That's the Comic Relief British Bake-Off -- it's for Comic Relief's Red Nose Day in 2 weeks, raising money for children's charity projects.

 
A very nice recap of a typical day in MY kitchen(!)....what a hoot, Joe! I was laughing out loud

all the way through that video. Two of my favorite lines:

1) From Paul (one of the judges)==>"The whipped cream (which was a filling for fruit tartlets) has either been piped -OR- dropped in from a height."

2) From contestant Dame Edna regarding her tiered frosted chocolate cake==> "It looks like an iconic building after a nuclear attack."

That's right--spoof is the wrong word. More like a "celebrity edition."

And they are indeed raising money for charity. In past years Jennifer Saunders has done hilarious spoofs for the same cause, the most memorable being "Mama Mia."

 
Fun,fun. Am about to tackle a cookie plate for my family - a tradition for the

Purim holiday. One gives plates or baskets of goodies to family,
neighbours, etc.

I am making shortbread hearts, date swirl cookies for one, some king of peanut butter for another and sugarless brownines for my daughter.
