1.2 oz (35g) wildflower honey

1.1 oz (30g) melted butter

2.1 oz (60g) sugar

seeds from 1 vanilla bean

0.1 oz (3 gram) ground cinnamon

0.5 oz (15 gram) sweet curry powder

0.1 oz (3 gram) hot curry powder

0.07 oz (2 gram) dried tonka bean, ground to powder

0.07 oz (2 gram) kosher salt

6.3 oz (180gram) old fashioned steel-cut oats

Mix, pour on Silpat. Bake 325 (165C) for 30 minutes, stirring every 5. Store air-tight container.

 
Rose Water Leather

4 gelatin sheets
685g (1 lb, 8.2 oz) rose water
115g (4.1 oz) water
8g (0.3 oz) NH pectin
12 g (0.4 oz) agar agar
1 g (0.04 oz) kosher salt
2 g (0.07 oz) citric acid
125g (4.4 oz) sugar
20 g (0.7 oz) sorbitol

At this point, I'm going to refer you to the link that gave all the instructions for making the leather. Way too much detail for me to do it justice in paraphrasing it. Scroll down to the bottom where all the photo steps are. And good luck....you'll need it!

You end up with several 1x3" leather envelopes, about the size of a fat index finger. Waaaaaayyyy too much work for that kind of payback.

I think I'll pass on the rose water envelope though. Is it a fun book to read? I'm still stuck at home with the stupid headache...
