For the holidays: Cranberry Pecan Spread

Looks great, Meryl. Have you tried it yet?

This looks like it'd be good spread on nearly anything. I have visions of it on pound cake, bagels and the list would be endless. I'm sure I'll make this up soon to try it out since I have the ingredients. I haven't been cooking much so it might be nice to have tucked in the fridge to munch on. Thanks!

PS I'm even thinking maybe some melted chocolate blended into the cream cheese and orange juice. What do you think?! smileys/smile.gif YUM

No, I haven't, Gayle, but hey, what could be bad? It sounds like a foolproof winner! As far as

adding melted chocolate is concerned, I'm basically not a fan of chocolate mixed with fruit flavors, but if you are, go for it! And, needless to say, let me know how it turns out.

I'm not too sure about the cranberries but the orange would be great

with chocolate! I'll let you know. Think I'll make half and half. smileys/smile.gif

wow Meryl, something we have in common. I thought I was alone in liking my chocolate w/o fruit

Actually, there are a few of us around. smileys/smile.gif

My husband is another one - and there may be one or two more of us. Ha.
I don't like any kind of fruit flavors mixed into chocolate, yet I can get into certain desserts where the chocolate and fruit are separately layered, such as a butter layer cake filled with raspberry mousse and topped with a chocolate ganache or a chocolate cake topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.
