What I don't understand is why these so-called reputable companies do not
test these products. Considering all the money they save on slave wages they could at least hire American workers to test the products. And where are the Gov't regulators of which we are told we have such a plethora. Budgets cut to the bone, not doubt!

A lot of times companies send out their products for manufacturing in off-shore locations. Initially the supplier meets the specs, but as time goes on, they may start taking short cuts.
