Your menu sounds great. Makes me wish I lived in your neighborhood smileys/smile.gif

My comfort food growing up too! Most Californians have never tasted such delicacies smileys/smile.gif

Mmm, that sounds good from beginning to the end...Happy New Year to you.

After nearly 30 years of marriage to a Southern Belle, I've had no choice but to adapt. (And me a

card-carrying, Northern California-Yankee Jewboy!)

These days, I can make Southern chow (Gumbo, Hoppin' John, Greens, Red Beans and Rice, Smothered Anythin' and Etouffee) that would make you "slap yo mamma". Due to these efforts, today, CB is a happy Mississippi ex-pat and when the famiglia descends upon us, they ask for my cookin'. (Whew, that was close!)

My hubby is Japanese and now prefers Indian or Mexican...ancestors are rolling over in their graves
