oh, I am SO making this with a cup of tea. So, what is natural almond paste? Can I make that

myself? Does it have to be almond? Can I use any nut (I'm thinking of that bag of hazelnuts sitting in my freezer waiting for a chance to shine!)

 
oh shoot, I forgot about The Great Weevil Infestation of 2015--and the fact that I tossed the flours

and grains, including my cake flour and all variations of corn flour.

OH...I have stone-ground grits in the freezer (Thank you, Early Girl in Asheville). Would that work if I put it in the Vitamix?

well THAT looks simple enough. Thanks Gay. (was it odd that the ground nut version looked

smoother than the almond flour version? I would have thought the opposite.)
