Basically, bake crust, let cool, then brush melted butter on pan above the bake crust. Add filling and bake. Then she props open the door after baking and lets it cool off in the oven to minimize the temperature differential effect.

Now I want to bake a cheesecake just to test out this tip.

I wrap the pan in double thickness of heavy duty foil and then bake in a waterbath. No crack.
