Looking out on snow covered ground with more on the way! Are you guys in the southern US really growing fresh collards, broccoli, and cauliflower in your home gardens now? And yes, we are eating plenty of tasty produce. Dinner last night was salmon steaks with small spinach salads, steamed zucchini, cannellini beans with stewed tomatoes and pesto, blueberries, bananas, and mandarin oranges. Colleen

From recent Garden and Gun email: (NOT T&T)

"At the root of my success is a Farmstead Raised Garden Bed from Eartheasy. Available in numerous sizes, the white cedar boards assemble quickly and can stack on top of each other for more depth. I put mine together in about five minutes and filled it with a compost mix from a local nursery—we’ve been eating fresh collards, broccoli, and cauliflower since."

Colleen, in the south we start planting tomatoes and other summer crops in March

Broccoli, cauliflower, etc are winter crops around here.
