FRC: How to brew bitter-free full bodied coffee?

Lately, I have been making "cold" brew coffee concentrate from the recipe that KC posted from Cindi, and my coffee is rich with flavor but no bitterness. Any suggestions on how to get this same result with brewed coffee?

We have the Cuisinart Grind and Brew. Although it brews a strong coffee, it's still bitter. We've changed types of whole beans and ground, messed around with the settings, but still bitter. This is our second Grind and Brew with the same results.

Any suggestions from your success? Thank-you, Colleen

Do you pour a cleaning solution in it every couple of months? Your water may leave lime deposits.

I tried the French press many years ago

My sister loaned me hers but I didn't feel that the coffee was any better tasting than the electric coffee machine and a whole lot more work.

I'll have to borrow it back from her and try again.

Thank-you for the suggestion! Colleen

I've been buying Pablo's Pride Whole Bean Coffee from Sam's Club...

I don't think I've had a better coffee! It's an Antigua from Guatamala and it's smoothe and rich. Not bitter at all.

It's about $13.00 for a 2 lb bag. Wonderful!!!

Best coffee I've had a part from Blue Mountain we get in Jamaica or Kona from Hawaii and I think it's really better. smileys/smile.gif

I use a Cuisinart drip machine and separate burr grinder. No special setup.

If you have access to Sam's give it a try. Let me know what you think. They sell out really quick when they get a shipment, so everyone else must agree! smileys/smile.gif

Happy New Year, everyone!!
