FRC - Trying to use up 10 Quaker Oatmeal-to-Go bars

I like the taste but the kids don't (and the bars are way outside of my daily carb allocation!) For those of you who haven't tried them, to me they are like a big oatmeal caramel - sooo much corn syrup with crunchy oatmeal, brown sugar and raisins. Warmed up they are a bit more bar-ish. Do you think I could break them up in the food processor, maybe add some butter and use them as a base for a raisin or jam topped cookie bar? I have several cooked raisin toppings and low-sugar streusel mixtures to sprinkle on top but I'm not completely sure about using the Go bars as the base - mix with butter, mix with egg, add baking powder or soda, bake before the fruit topping???? Any ideas?? Thanks for brainstorming with me! Colleen

Sounds like a great idea; you could probably even just whack them into squares >>

and use as topping for a Brown Betty or Buckle. (Nearly any fruit would be good with oatmeal-caramel topping.) But then, I'm lazy. smileys/wink.gif
Good luck!

Just what I was thinking--maybe instead of the oats and brown sugar in an Apple Crisp?
