You need to download the Kindle app to your tablet, then if you don't already have one.

set up an account at Amazon through the app on your tablet, set up and enable your 1-click ordering info, then you can download to your heart's content. You have to have the 1-click ordering info set up to download anything, even free content.

Stupidly simple question: Is an I-Pad a "tablet"? I won mine, so I really know nothing

about it. It sits in the living room to access IMDB for "wait...i know I've seen that actor somewhere???" facts.

yes. and I got the kindle app for my ipad and phone. I'm just new to the ipad too, but I got the

kindle to work just fine, and even downloaded books from the library. freeeeeeee. and you can instantly get books from your kindle to your ipad. also to your phone. sometimes it's good to have that book available on the phone when in waiting rooms etc.
