not free to Alaska. we are apparently not part on North America. go figure. I even talked to a

live person.

Did you know that some people don't even realize Alaska is connected by land??

Someone I know didn't realize you could drive from the U.S., thru Canada and into Alaska! Maybe that's the "live" person you spoke to smileys/smile.gif

I didn't scroll down far enough to read the shipping disclaimer. I went right to the site to order.

then called to complain. It really wouldn't cost them anymore to ship to us if they just did standard USPS like everyone else. We don't need special shipping for most items. let us decide. They take all options away for shipping except the special shipping for AK, and it just doesn't make sense. at least they got the "contiguous" right on their disclaimer. so many companies say "continental" US, and then say AK is not part of this. that bugs the heck out of me. and, the sheets are made in Canada---but they are charging 18.50 to send to Canada. yikes. Our Canadian friends should find out who is making them and order direct.

So, anyway, all this to change my mind and go order a lifetime supply. I guess 9.50 for shipping a jetload of parchment sheets to me will be worth it in the lonnnnnng run. I just hate fiddling with the rolls and the rolling up. the sheets sound marvelous and also the rounds.

I've been baking my pizzas at 500 degrees with a piece of

parchment on a baking stone. It turns it brown, but has never burned.
