freezing cranberries

Bags of fresh cranberries always seem to have a few mushy berries. I bought 4 bags today to freeze so I can make that wonderful cranberry/fig/ruby port sauce later. I am tempted to rinse and sort before freezing. What do you do?

I'll admit to some food related idiosyncrasies.....

Does anyone else rinse and remove mushy berries when using them fresh?

Yep, I do. I also wash and take out any icky looking berries before freezing. I've never thought

of it as an idiosyncrasy, but I'll admit to a bit of OCD behavior.

since d=disorder, we are idiosyncratic...

I think it would be a disorder if we did it for hours rather than one good rinse and pick-thru. BTW, do you let them dry or freeze them wet?
