Freezing milk question.

My 10 year old made a big batch of Mexican Hot Chocolate last night for her girl scout meeting that was supposed to be after school today. We have a snow day and the meeting has been rescheduled for 2 weeks from now.

Will it freeze OK? It's mostly whole milk, sugar and melted Baker's chocolate. -Tessie

Was hoping someone had froze chocolate milk? I do freeze regular milk all the time, only thing might

be that since it is whole milk, the fat does get pushed up to the top, but a couple of good shakes mixes it in. Maybe freeze in smaller jugs, easier to shake?

why don't you try with a small quantity and see?

you're not gonna do anything harmful, but you'll find out about the texture.

I've had experience with regular milk, but not chocolate. Regular

freezes just fine. The secret to thawing it is to thaw it in the frig slowly. If you try to hurry it up, it will separate and sort of curdle.
