Dear Joe (and entire recipe network):

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and words during our time of loss. My mother considered you all to be among her dearest friends. She often spoke highly of you and loved the recipes you shared, and we know she took comfort in chatting with you during the rough times she was experiencing. We hope she is now at peace with herself and as she starts her eternal journey, let it be filled with love, wonder and all that she was looking forward to. Never forget Randi, keep her in your thoughts and dreams, as she will always remember you.

With Love and Sympathy,

her son and daughter-in-law,

Eric & Kathy

Thank you for the post, Joe. I know this must be so hard for you, and we appreciate your updates.

Joe, Thank you for posting the message ... I still cannot process this yet! So Sad!

Thank you for posting, Joe. I've been thinking about Randi all week.

This must be such a difficult time for her family. Please let them know that I'm keeping them in my heart and thoughts, as I'm sure we all are.

I read these words when we buried my mother's ashes last week up in Canada; I share them with you all for Randi:

Say not in grief that she is no more, but say in thankfulness that she was. A death is not the extinguishing of a light, but the putting out of the lamp because the dawn has come.

~~Rabindreth Tagore
