I had a few girlfriends over for a casual dinner the other night and took some of my frozen toll house cookie dough out of the freezer to bake. Or so I thought, Nope, it was a log of orange/pecan biscotti I had made. No time for the double baking. Today I went to bake that off and peeked in the oven 1/2 through. It had not spread at all. Upon tasting I discovered it was a log of cheddar/pecan cheese wafers. Oh well, I guess I'll have a cocktail party now instead of biscotti with coffee at my meeting tomorrow. Big lesson re-learned

My mom keeps a bag in the freezer for stuff she doesn't want to put in the

trash can until closer to time to take it out so that it doesn't stink. Guess she'd really be messed up if she accidentally got her frozen trash bag.

I am most impressed that you have all in your freezer! : ) I recall defrosting chili for

my in laws only to discover that it was 6 hour gravy for pasta.

It was a scramble, changing from chili fixings (cut up scallions, shredded cheddar, cut tomato, etc) to pasta!!!

I keep a small pkg of fish in the freezer... Anytime I don't want to cook, I put it

It out on the counter to thaw, hubby sees it, and next thing you know we're holding menus. That pkg gets a lot of use. smileys/smile.gif

That is too funny.

Reminds me of my married years. I'd worked in a pharmacy in high school and college and so did not believe in things like Nyquil because they generally over treat, but I'd buy it just to knock my husband out and shut him up when he had a cold.

Only Jimmy Dean, Sara Lee, and the Pillsbury Doughboy would

make better freezer hosts for our recovering Melissa – and, breakfast sausage is first on her list – Jimmy Dean? I love his turkey sausage patties!

Besides, doncha think those “other” characters would have some degree of freezer burn by now?? (wink)

My Mom was thinking I might need to stay with them for a lot longer than

I wanted to. I was determined that they couldn't say I couldn't take care of myself when I went home-all I have to do is nuke stuff for quite some time if I'm not up to cooking/cleaning the kitchen.
