Full of questions today:

1) Is my package of tofu a keep or toss? It's been unopened, liquid clear in the coldest part of

the fridge, expiration date 1/7

keep or toss?

Burrata mozzerella, keep or toss? It is on a jar of it's liquid but has been completely frozen

thanks to my wonky cheap rental apartment fridge.

Dare I thaw it out??

Do W

the Gourmet line, the handle gas broken completely around the handle by the lowest rivet. If I pull on it, ever so gently, the whole broken part will just pull off! I've never had a problem with Wüstoff before but always purchased their classic line. It was a gift but I know it came from Chef's Catalog, got it in September.

Should I call the catalog? Or Wüstoff? Or toss it?

Thanks for your help with all of my questions!

Re: the knives. I believe if you go to their website, you will find all the information you need.

plus, they have a customer service number you can call. Or call the store it came from, they can give you answers, as well. I have those knives and I know they are a guarantee.

You could try thawing this out BUT. . .

it may be mealy and may lose its flavor. It will probably be ok to eat, but won't have the quality.

I would call the catalog. If it was a gift, they would want to make good for future business.maybe

Perhaps you can use it once thawed in a pasta dish( consistency won't matter as much)

tomato and basil, or more recently I saw a recipe where the burrata was mixed with broccoli, pine nuts (not in pasta) but why not in pasta?
