when i drove my son to school yesterday, it was raining, halfway there, it thundered and lighteninged (we live about 5 miles from school), by the time we got to school, it was sleeting, on the way home it was snowing, by the time I got home, it was raining/snowing and lightening and thundering. A half hour later we got about 2-3 inches of that big snowflake snow, then rain again. I pulled my son out of school around 10:30 because our road is one of the last to get plowed, I have learned.
Overnight it looks like we got about 10 more inches of snow, and it is blowing like mad.
My question Gayle, what the heck is going on? Snowthunder and snowlightening???
I grew up in MN and I never remember having a thunderstorm during a snowstorm, is that normal? It's a snow day here today, so I will definitely be making a nice hot soup of some kind. Stay warm and dry!
