They reminded me of the same cookie I made probably 30 years ago. The cookies are very cake-like and I made the mistake of stacking the first bunch too soon and they stuck together a bit. I let the rest of the cookies cool completely in a single layer before stacking them on a plate. I was asked for the recipe, so they were good. I used Limeade cuz that's what I had and I couldn't really tell the difference. I did add the lemon zest and I wasn't so fussy about putting together the dough in so many steps, more of a one bowl-mix-it-all-up dough for cookies method.http://www.finerkitchens.com/swap/forum1/55069_Also_found_her_Lemonade_Cookies_from_the_book

 
and Randi, I created a new summer cooler with the citrus vodka and sparkling lemonade.

added a tsp of sugar and squeezed in a wedge of lime. Ahhhhh. good.

 
This would look super with those blueberry swizzle sticks I found in the new Country Living.

they threaded fresh blueberries on a bamboo skewer to use as swizzle sticks. Very cute and colorful and delish for lemonade! I'll have to try it for the 4th.
