Getting over the flu and I can't taste anything, it's driving me nuts.

I'm drinking about 3 liters of herb tea a day and all the soup I can stand. Tonight I cooked raviolis from the farmers market and I couldn't tell what flavor they were, I checked the box and they were artichoke, Gorgonzola and walnut! Can't believe they had no flavor to me....

Anyone else get this flu? I'm on day 9 now and still unwell.

Oh Heather I am so sorry. I got my shot on Friday--I hope it was in time. You WILL taste

artichokes, bleu cheese and walnuts again, I promise. Take care.

we had our free flu shots here at work in early Oct. so far, knock on wood, we're flu-free

I'm a huge supporter of the flu shot---ever since my late DH had cancer and all the family was strongly urged to get the shots. I continue with the shots each year and haven't been sick in years, knock on wood again. I know some people can't take them. So sorry to hear you are so sick. sending some vitual spicy chicken soup to wake up those taste buds.

I got my shot in September but still got flu & pneumonia in November.

It has been a horrible flu year in N. Texas. The lovely 17 year old boy who was in the national news when he died right after Christmas from the flu was the child of an old classmate of mine.

My husband got his flu shot the end of August and still got the flu

2 days before Christmas. Besides fever and aches all over, he had bad back pain, and excruciating pain in his neck. The neck pain was so bad, he couldn't even lift his head to get out of bed, and we had to take him to the emergency room, which was a 7-hour nightmare.

Hmm - I just noticed that I can edit any one of these posts. That's weird. Can all of you do that?

Yup, including subject line. Which I have only done when asked by original poster, smileys/smile.gif

Meryl and Curious1 are in the moderators group that is why you have that ability

Heather and everyone who came down with the flu - FEEL BETTER!! I have only had

back and knee ache this winter! No viruses (yet!). 'Usually get bronchitis every Feb.(

A little update, I was feeling better on Sunday but relapsed

and noe have an ear infection too. Oy. Hope you all stay healthy or recover quickly.

I'm lying on a heap in bed with a heating pad on my ear and watching Twilight movies. Now that is unwell... Lol
