Hi folks.I've been a user of Gail's on and off for YEARS. A couple of weeks ago I got back to the site and was devastated at the changes. Then I saw the link here.. YAY!!!!! Red Velet Cake, Oreo Truffles, Gretchen's pulled pork - I've died and gone to heaven!!! So, so glad someone picked up that fabulous ball and ran with it.

I'm gorging myself by catching up on the previous posts. I'm not sure what transpired over at Gail's, but it says something about the power of a community of geat folks like this to all gather at a happier site.I'm looking forward to sharing more great recipes and getting to know more of you!

We have lots of friends and some family who live in Van. Just recently a lovely family moved in near us here on the island and it turns out her parents live around the corner from my relations (in West Van. ?? I've not been so am unsure of just where that is)...such a small world, but I didn't know that V meant there.
It sounds really beautiful there.

 
No, far away from it.....

I'm in the Caribbean, never been in snow and that is all they are talking about, they seem to be missing it a lot, now they are here.
