Going to Albuquerque for 5 days in May. Any suggestions on restaurants or "do not miss"

Hi, Cyn...we are also going to Albuquerque in May for a bowling

tournament. There are casinos close, but I would also be interested in any restaurant or do not miss ideas. I'm just starting to look at ideas and what to do also. We are going to drive about 4-5 hours to Moab Utah to meet my daughter and son-in-law and see the "arches" plus do some hiking with them before the tournament.

We're in Albuquerque for 2 days fro the wedding. We're renting a car at the airport

and now plan to stay another 4-5 days. Neither of us has ever been to New Mexico so we're open to suggestions. Do they have anything like the French Market in NO (but not as cheesy) or something like that. We just don't want to spend ALL the time driving.

Ah! Well, you must go along the Turquoise Trail to Santa Fe. I'ts not a long

drive but Santa Fe is so worth it.

And I'll look up my fav restaurant there and see how it is now. I mentioned it on Gail's and someone else chimed in that it really was outstanding.

Fabulous hotel in Santa Fe is Inn of the Assazi.

There's also Coyote Cafe in SF. I was disappointed but you may want the experience if you like Mark Miller's style.

Okay. Here's it! Great things just don't die. A Margarita Book with a forward by Rbt Redford..

how can you go wrong! I don't know if Maria's published the book, or what. BUt don't you just love margarita's?

We loved the food here. Very relaxed and so delicious. Best posole I've ever had. Tamales...and on and on.

I am looking forward to going...will definitely try Seasons....Calamari, margaritas....

when we were in San Antonio, I think I ate chips and salsa with breakfast, lunch, dinner...gained five pounds.

Sounds good, Marg. Any farmer's market in the area that you know of. And what about

the best place for turquoise and silver?

Don't know about markets. I bought silver right in the town square. Probably the worst place to buy

But I didn't have the time or inclination for anything major. Some little shops that have really unusual items and clothing that is one-of-a kind.

There are a few things to see outside of SF as well. What's the name of that little church????

Taking the Sandia Tram to watch sunset and the lights is very nice.

You can do dinner at High Finance...or just ride back down. Reservations are required, I believe.

(The food used to be good, but I haven't been there in years.)
