Gourmet's Sage Stuffing - Who knew something so simple, could be so delish?!

I used a seeded baguette from Trader Joe's and used Knorr chicken stock. It was salted perfectly. I've never made homemade stuffing (my mom's a fan of the boxed stuff) but this was really intriguing. No toasting of the bread was necessary.

Stuffing is a highlight of the holidays and something I really only eat then. Armed with this recipe, I'll definitely be adding it to my standard fare.

This is very close to what I do each year as well. A simple bread, stock, herbs and vegetables...

...stuffing.

I tried to get fancy one year, using another recipe with sausage, etc., and although it was good, my family asked for the traditional recipe along with the new one.

I'm too lazy to make two batches of stuffing, so the traditional recipe is the one I make now.

I use day-old bread, never toasted. I use Knorr most of the time too, unless I happen to have homemade chicken stock. My fil makes the best turkey gravy on the planet and he uses the giblet stock for that.

It's wonderfully comforting, isn't it?
