I'm now 95% vegetarian/vegan. Doing it for brain health (my mom and her parents have dementia); amazed how simple it's been. That being said - my birthday and Thanksgiving are 'free' days: animal protein, the bad-for-you carbs and refined sugar - lol.

Anyway, I'm loving this marinade. And if I want to thicken to make it into a sauce I might add tahini, etc.

· 1” piece ginger, peeled and finely grated

· ¼ cup and 2 Tbsp soy sauce

· 2 Tbsp. pure maple syrup

· 2 tsp. toasted sesame oil

hot pepper flakes to taste

I did keto for three months for the same reason: brain fog. It did help but LOTS of meat. The common denominator here for brain health is eliminating processed sugars and carbs I think.

btw I was gifted the latest issue of MS Living. It has a feature on vegetarian recipes including 10 full recipes. The pics look really good. One of my daughters has extreme food allergies. She's been doing celery juicing each morning and she swears by it for everything from leveling blood sugar and digestion to clearing skin. She mixes apple in it and ginger. The ginger was my requirement from her making me drink it.

Sure! It's really tasty and can be modified in so many ways.

I wonder if you gave up animal protein for just a week or two if you would notice a a further improvement? I'm not saying you should do it, totally up to each individual. Just food for thought.

After watching the very interesting documentary "Fabulous Fungi" I also take Lions Main Mushroom capsules daily (very studied/researched.) and it has made a difference for me. This I know because I have a chemical balance and the drugs I need to live causes a little mini seizure (like 5 seconds worth) every week for nearly 20 years. Once I started with the capsules I now only get them maybe once a month and at a much lower 'voltage'. My husband, who has had 3 bouts of cancer, takes "Turkey Tail" mushroom cancer; it's even recommended on Cancer.gov

That's 1 capsule is the extent of my supplements - lol.

So glad that your daughter has found something that works for her!!!

I got the coffee with Lion's Mane in it a few weeks ago. Glad to hear it is so effective for you. I did not like the coffee but I will try capsules. As far as I know Lion's Mane is only grown in China.

I believe Host Defense Lions Mane and Turkey Tail (the founder narrated the movie) is in the states and/or canada

Hi everyone, I cannot tell you how happy I am to see this forum coming back up.

That is quite a challenge deb and so happy it is working for you.
