Making this for

I'm making this for my Bible study group Tuesday morning! Looks yummy.

Sally, you have a great blog and from what I observed, everyone loves your recipes

no apology necessary...bring them on! Everything I have made that you have shared with us has been great! Who doesn't love a good blogging site full of beautiful photos and food?

This recipe calls for frozen raspberries. The fresh have been great all winter long here in CA

will using fresh make any difference to the final outcome?

You know what I did?

I placed the fresh raspberries on a little tray and froze for a couple of hours before using. I wasn't able to find any info on the recipe, and thought that maybe fresh ones would dissolve too much into the batter

this worked very well, they retained a little bit of their shape and the crumb had a nice separation between fruit and cake. SOrt of

Still blushing.....

indeed this type of comment helps keep me going....

after almost 6 years doing this, it's nice to get a little boost

I think fresh would work fine--and probably not "dissolve" as much as

frozen. Raspberries are SO delicate to begin with. Looks like a great cake.
Would be good with probably good with other fruits--blackberry, blueberry, maybe even strawberries if coarsely chopped.
