Great tip - but kinda annoying. About pasta sauce >>>

I was making pasta sauce when my boy friend came in (Based on experience I was amazed he even managed to find the kitchen. He's the kind of man who will starve by the fridge! smileys/smile.gif

Anyways, he tasted my sauce, and asked if he could try add a few things.

I will use every opportunity to get him interested in cooking so I approved.

He added some mustard and - I still cannot belive this - some acasie honey and the sauce came out WONDERFUL!

Actually, I think it's the best sauce we ever had!

I'd say he added about one big teaspoon of each, honey and mustard that is, to about four cups of spaghetti sauce (regular sauce made from ground beef, onions, garlic, tomatoes, salt, pepper, oregano, basil.....)

I just wanted to share because our sauce tasted out soooooo good! You should try it some day (but taste while adding the honey because it's really sweet and can easily overpower the rest of the ingredients. smileys/smile.gif

So, what's the annoying part, you might ask.

The annoying part is WHY the heck didn't I think of this? I'm the cook in this house. My boy friend only operates the micro wave once in a blue moon (when I'm working out of town and his mom has made other plans).

I'll start adding honey to everything I cook from now on! *LOL*

I'll have to try this; it sounds like it would be great!

Frankly, it drives me NUTS when my husband wanders into the kitchen and tinkers with whatever I'm doing... smileys/wink.gif I'm sure I would have whacked him with a spatula, but your restraint produced a great idea! smileys/smile.gif
Thanks!

I didn't restrain myself - I just didn't have a spatula on hand! smileys/bigsmile.gif
