Grrr....yellow boxes are back

It was weird; I saw it also earlier in the day. I tried to respond to Karen's post
and yellow boxes were showing up.... I should have done a screen print, but basically all the areas that are pre formatted i.e. areas that as a user, we can't "enter" a post, came up in a bright yellow box.

It seemed to occur when I got a popup message saying
the site was at a lower compatibility than my browser. That I should select to NOT check for compatibility issues.
So I selected that option and that's when everything shifted to "Align Text Left" and the text box background "filled" with yellow shading.
