Thanks Sylvia - happy 4th to all. "We're havin' a heatwave, a tropical heatwave..."

And boy, does that pool look good! One year I printed out the Declaration of Independence on parchment paper for all the kids at a family picnic - just a last-minute idea for anyone going to a get-together with kids today.

My second 4th of July as a naturalized American!

.... last year, my first as American, I had THE worst hangover of my existence next day...

Needless to say, I promised to myself that would be the last time I had a hangover, and so far, so good.

I guess it was a mixture of the day being extra hot, I played golf and went straight to a party, started drinking wine on an empty stomach.

Just thinking about it I get queasy - so, never again!


I look forward to tonight, even if here it is probably going to be cloudy.... I hope clear enough for fireworks
