My wife reminded me that mothers take many forms and not only as birth mothers.
Mothers who adopt their children, or who marry into a family with children are equally worthy of honor on Mother's Day.
We know of one Mom who doesn't have any kids of her own, but she "adopted" a neighbor girl years and years ago.
This young lady had an awful home life that only got worse as she became a teenager. She's off to college now and tells everyone she wouldn't be there if it weren't for finding her "mom" two doors down the street.
Three cheers for Moms, however they accomplish their task!
