HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OUR CANDADIAN FRIENDS.

we had an early 'lunch' meal yesterday - the rolling stones playing in saskatchewan

definitely altered thousands of families' usual traditions! we were hungry around suppertime again, so we had the traditional canadian thanksgiving sushi smileys/wink.gif

Yeah, a belated happy Thanksgiving to all you Canadians.

I have sadly lost the tradition of Thanksgiving up here. In Quebec, or at least in the region where we live, nobody celebrates Thanksgiving except to get the day off. It's on a Monday, so people work or have school the next day and that's never a good time for a dinner party. So I don't really blame them for not celebrating Thanksgiving. It makes much more sense to have it on a Thursday and make a 4-day weekend out of it. We don't celebrate American Thanksgiving either in our family, because nobody has the day off, and again, work or school the following day. So I guess Thanksgiving is one tradition that I'm not passing on to my kids. Very sad.(
