Has anybody bought the Bake From Scratch magazine?

It appears to be a new magazine, but, as with any magazine, if you Google

"recipes from

magazine" you will get tons of recipe you can try. I do that a lot when I am trying to decide on buying a certain cookbook.

Google gets all the credit, they are Amazing, I love that they remember what you search for

and the next time you look up the same subject and type a few letters, it comes right up. I have never put it something that Google was not able to find it. NOW, they do searches by the picture you provide. I was able to look up a couple of antique oil and vinegar bottles I just inherited just by providing the photo.

I went 2 this link, clicked on an old copy & paged thru it. Marilyn, check out the gingerbread BARN!

The roof shingles are Chex mix cereal unless I'm mistaken. I haven't yet figured out what the building materials are which were used to make the silo--will have to read the recipe & directions.

oli, you can page through an entire volume and read everything inside! I started out at "www.fromscratchmag.com" and found an old holiday issue with the gingerbread barn inside.

Why do you call it From Scratch, that's another publication, not the one I am referring to.

That's what was posted above--and in all the intagram social media promoting it. There are

countless numbers of cakes baked from scratch in tried and true cookbooks or by tried and true cooks. I can't see why I'd buy a (probably) expensive magazine, but that is me.

Hi Oli, I think I am going to get one because it looks really lovely!

I found a blogger review and her photos of the articles were fun to see. The scone article really looks great, I would love to try them.

The price is a bit high but it's the first issue, so why not? Link below for an online purchase.

I have tried out all kinds of wild and unique food magazines, it's really fun to have them around, even if I only bought one issue. Personally, I often like print over doing endless internet searches on recipes, there's something about holding a book or a magazine.

Do let us know if you get one and what you try. That cake on the cover looks really fun too. I get paid on Thursday so I will order a copy then!
