Has anybody figured out a simple, practical, non-messy way to eat a kiwi fruit? Jeez!!

I usually peel it with a paring knife then slice or chop, or cut in half and then scoop and eat with

a spoon.

I cut a slice from the top , then from the bottom and ...

Insert a tea spoom and peel it away from the skin. It comes out in the perfect shape, then I slice it and eat it.

I can't find a photo of the one I have. It's just a really cheap plastic thing. Curved so that

it slips under the skin and just slides all around underneath. A friend brought it from NZ for me. All I can find online is the fancy stainless steel types that I didn't know existed.

I did buy a tomato/peach peeler with the serrated blade a few months ago....just waiting for peaches. What I read here indicates that that works for kiwis as well but I haven't tried it on anything yet.

That would be the expensive version. I guess she wasn't that good a friend. This one was free in NZ.
