This is the show where a chef (Curtis Stone) sneaks up on an unsuspecting shopper in a grocery store and persuades them to let him cook supper that night (in turn, surprising a friend or loved one). The first 2 episodes aired here last night...I think I'll start loitering around in upscale supermarkets from now on - lol!

Has anyone caught the new TLC show "Take Out Chef" yet?

Lol! If I knew that I'd head over there ;o) I just noticed ... that should read "Take Home Chef"...
Apparently the chef currently resides in Los Angeles, so maybe that's where they're filming it too.
It's kind of a fun concept, what with the taken-aback/hesitant shopper...the unfamiliar kitchen...a little bit of a cooking lesson...the loved one or guest that is surprised by the whole thing...etc. The first 2 episodes were entertaining. The recipes are posted on TLC's website - there's a lentil soup with Tuscan cabbage, sage & truffle oil that sounded good.
