Has anyone ever made a Great Canadian Ketchup Cake?

Tomorrow is a birthday party for a couple whose birthdays are 4 days apart and I'm bringing the cake. Was out to dinner with them last night and asked if there was a preference for flavor. He picked the ketchup bottle up and, jokingly, said here, this flavor.

Well, I'm not one to let a challenge go by and looked to see if I could find a ketchup cake recipe. This one actually seems popular. Anyone here make it?

DJ, I love your motivation! (I am always up for a challenge also!) You may want to google

cakes in bottle shapes. They offer some insight on how to take a sheet cake and cut it out to look like a bottle. (The one's I saw were for beer bottles and wine bottles, but it might be fun to have your cake in the shape of a ketchup bottle. (Just an idea!)

Have fun! I am sure your friends will LOVE it and will create a truly hardy laugh and memory of the special night!

Made cupcakes from the linked recipe, very simliar in taste to a spice cake. Pretty good.
