Has anyone ever used Billington's dark brown molasses sugar from Mauritius, Africa?

My daughter says it is the ONLY brown sugar she will use and when she bakes with it, everyone raves. I bought some at Whole Foods market. It's a natural brown sugar - not a colored white sugar. It has that strong molasses aroma and tastes devine. Can't wait to try it!

The label says "natural - dark brown molasses sugar"

On the back it says "many brown sugars are only brown on the outside - underneath they are really just refined white sugar".

This was so interesting.....I did some searching and found that a huge

price range.....4.00 to over 20.00 for l lb. Some also said refined sugar, or natural. I really want to try this, so will have to study it more. Isn't it fun to try new products....especially sharing ones that you love!
Thanks.

It was $2.49 for a lb. at Whole Foods -- my girlfriend just told me Trader Joes has it --

not the same brand, but still it says 'natural molasses sugar' so I'll have to check it out. I'm worried about the strong molasses smell as I wanted to use it in peanut butter cookies and don't want it overpowering the pb.
