Has anyone had their Calphalon re-anodized? or heard of such a thing?

Hi Luisa, I've seen a Calphalon pot get un-anodized>>>

Someone was simmering lemons for a long time (to freshen the air in a rooom smileys/smile.gif

It looks like the dark finish got stripped, leaving a rough, raw-aluminum looking interior.

According to their website, if the pot un-anodizes, nothing harmful got into yor food, and it's perfectly safe, but they'll replace your pot. etc. etc. etc.

I'd just as well not get anything with the hard anodized interior - I figure if I pay that much money for a pot, it should last me a very long time.

I wouldn't want to worry about what kinds of things I can put in a pot, i.e. acidic foods like lemons or tomatoes.

All-Clad stainless all the way.

I'm leaning your way, but I can't rationalize changing all my pots if they still function.

Maybe someone will steal them then I can claim the insurance & repot my new kitchen with All Clad. LOL

Luisa -call/check their website re warranty - they will likely honor it...

my SIL had problems with a pan warping and I called them about it. If I recall some pieces have a lifetime warranty and they told me how to check (but I can't recall now) and they replaced it no problem tho I think we did have to pay shipping at least one way. Her's were a wedding gift and were about 10 years old as well. Can't hurt anyway! Good luck!
