Has anyone heard from Meryl. I've wondered if she's on vacation.

She's OK, just has some things keeping her busy right now.

I will let her know you were asking about her, I'm planning on talking to her today.

Thank you for your concern, everyone. The past several days have been ultra scary -

My husband, Lou, had been experiencing dizziness and fainting on and off for several weeks. He had an echocardiogram and other tests, and it showed he had atrial fibrillation, which is an irregular heartbeat. Last Tues. morning, he had the worst attack yet - He was wearing a heart monitor, and it showed that his heart had stopped for 20 seconds. Any longer, and it would have been all over. We rushed him to the emergency room, and they told him he needed a pacemaker immediately. Within a few hours, he had one implanted. He was very, very lucky this was caught on time, needless to say.
Lou has been slowly on the mend, and has been feeling better since the monitor was implanted. I've been very, very shaken about this, but am feeling a little better now. Thank you all so much for caring.

I read about Randi, and feel terrible. She was a bright light - a beautiful, warm, kind person. I wish her love and peace.

And now they've found out that chocolate is good for you! I wish both of you a peaceful recovery

What a scare!

Canada's previous Governor-General also had this and emergency surgery for a pacemaker. So

Lou is in royal company!
